Who we are
The Big Street Feast is organised by Chef Abbys. We are responsible for the personal data collected on this website. Questions or requests: chefabbys@myrunwaygroup.com or 055 260 5084.
What we collect
- Free tickets: your name, phone number, city, and optionally your age range and how you heard about us.
- Volunteer applications: your name, phone number, email, role, city, and optionally your Instagram handle and notes.
- Vendor applications: your brand, what you will serve, city, contact name, phone and email, and optionally Instagram and notes.
- On the day: the time your ticket is checked in and which staff member checked it.
Why we use it
- To issue your ticket and check you in at the gate.
- To confirm volunteer and vendor applications by email and text.
- To send event updates you agreed to, such as venue, time and reminders.
- To plan the event, for example how many people to expect in each city. We only share totals, never names.
We use your details only for The Big Street Feast. We do not sell them or share them with sponsors or advertisers.
Your consent
We process your details with your consent, which you give by ticking the box on our forms, in line with Ghana's Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843). You can withdraw consent at any time by contacting us, and we will stop messaging you.
Who can see it
Only the organising team, through a password-protected dashboard. Gate staff can only look up a ticket at check-in. We use trusted service providers to run the website and send messages: Vercel (hosting), Supabase (database), Resend (email) and Arkesel (SMS). Some of these may store data on servers outside Ghana, under their own security and privacy commitments.
How long we keep it
We keep registration and application details until 31 March 2027 so we can follow up after the event, then delete them or keep only anonymous totals. If you ask us to delete your details sooner, we will.
Your rights
You can ask us to see the details we hold about you, correct them, or delete them. Contact us using the details above and we will respond within 21 days.
