The Big Street Feast

About

Follow the journey. Share the mission.

The Big Street Feast is a World Food Day celebration by Chef Abbys.

What it is

Every 16 October, the world marks World Food Day. We mark it on the streets. The Big Street Feast brings free food, music and community to thousands of people in one day.

After our first edition, we are back bigger for 2026: two cities, Accra and Kumasi, and a goal of feeding more than 50,000 people.

Our mission

Sustainable Development Goal 2: Zero Hunger

We are driven by the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 2, Zero Hunger: ending hunger and making sure everyone has enough good food to eat. Food is more than a meal: it carries community, dignity, culture, connection and sharing.
